Scion xB

What do you think of the boxy scion xB???

I dont like it at all, or anything made by Scion.

I dont like it because now everyone that own it, or any of the other Scions thinks they have the best car ever because its got like 5 factory "performance parts" or whatever. I just hate it when car companies try to make "tuner" cars they always end up stupid as hell.

I hate that ugly car. Its the worst thing since the Element to soil the streets of america. Theres nothing stylish or sporty about driving a refrigerator with wheels. It only pains me to know that the ones on the street will be there for a long time because they are toyota and will likely have a long lifespan. Too bad they weren't made by daewoo I would only have to look at them for 5 years of so.

ever seen the movie "the brave little toaster" ?? thats what the design team was watching while brainstorming a new car.

I will have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. The Xa is indeed a ugly friggin car, but the Xb takes the cake. But the auto market lately has shown that there is enough uglyness to go around.

theres no way the xB is uglier than the xA, but that must be my opinion

I like the xb style. but it needs more power!

I hate its lack of style, its quite the eyesore. Possibly the ugliest thing excreted from japan yet. A lack of power is only one of the countless things I hate about that car.

Its aimed at younger buyers, and it's japans way of experimenting with the US market. They are trying to make cars that are in a way crazy, because thats what young people want these days, they want to stand out. I like the "box on wheeles", and the thinking toyota has put into the scion group.

Hate it. However as far as the whole Scion line goes look what you get for the money. Compare it in price to the element.

the xa and xb look like a bunch of autistic engineers were playing with blocks and shoes and that inspired them enough to make what ever the xb is and a car!!! the tc isnt that bad though....give those autistic ppl a cookie ;D

The xA is a cutsie little ride for a girl about to graduate from high school. The xB is just disgustingly ugly. A redesigned postal truck for USPS. But as much as I loath Scion, the tC is a very nice looking car. Ive seen one in black droppped on hypderblack 18s, and it looked very sweet.

Exactly, I think Honda didn't do as good with the Element (though it's sales are OK) because of it's price. The Scions are well made Toyotas at an affordable price, with many options at the showroom. The options as well are not cost mores they're this or that options. Look for not just Nissan but other companies to copy as well. Oh and yes I hate the XB (and XA).

The xA and the xB are two of the ugliest worst thought out designed cars on the road. The tC on the other hand is a pretty good car and I even like the looks.

Im also not too big a fan of the xB...theres really nothing to the styling, no cues and no innovations...its a box, nothing more complicated than that...did you need 4+ years of engineering to make a box? I will say though, they are distinctive, and when one drives by I look...

that toaster thing was funny as hell. yea scion xas and xbs suck major balls. the tc is ok but not near good enough to justify the discontinuation of the celica. but they sell and that shows how many dumbasses there are in this world.

Ah, but they sold them to the domestic market first. You should see all the odd little things they have. Remember, Tokyo is a very congested city (even after Godzilla has stomped on it how many times) and you have to prove you have a place to park before they let you own a car. For a long time, that rule didn't apply to the little kei-class cars, those under 360cc, and there were some oddballs there.

BTW, does anyone else remember the Honda Z600 and N600?

Guess I'm in the minority, but I really like the xB. It's got a lot of standard features for the money, good gas mileage, and a reliable engine.

I don't remember which magazine did the test, but Scion was voted even less reliable than all the domestic brands for the year.

Yeah but look at what became of the Celica, dam it was ugly. The head lights went 1/2 way up the hood. I wouldn't take it out on prom night, I'd rather walk and go stag.

I like the xB, we got to drive one when our Cam was in the shop, it was very zippy and peppy, not too bad for a box. :D :cool:

so i was at the philadelphia international auto show, just checkin everything out. and when me and my old man hit the scion both the only person i saw who really liked the xB was my old man....

im not sure what to make of that. but all the "gangsters" who scion tailors their ads towards were checkin out the xA and the tC. which seems to suggest that most everyone finds the xB ugly. except for my dad.

and even though i sat in the thing and tinkered around with it, i didnt like it. i couldnt get confortable in that seat. the center mount gauges work alot better in the Saturn Ion then they do in the xB, which is a surprise. and the promotional cd supplyed by the sales person to test out the sound system with was all rap music.

it was just down and out a horrible experience. and im not headin into a scion show room anytime soon.

The car is so unsafe they had to put in a solid chunk of steel to the front, and cover it up with that obnxious bumper.

Hate the car. If we have to follow one, i push the gas with my hand to pass it. i jsut hate looking at them
