OK I have a question about the ecu. My friend just bought a 92 240sx and it auto. Well we gonna change it to 5spd and well I heard I don't have to change the ecu. Is this true?

You can make sure and ask a nissan dealership. They had so many ECU models for the 1990 - for the same KA ( some for califonia, canadian models, transmission types etc...) engine it was mind boggling. Perhaps they commonised ECU on the later years. Some reason for a possible different ECU may be sensors for your clutch release or engine accell response when on gear change (ove-revving response) - but some of the dudes here might have already done the swap ... without changing... the ECu may be good enough to compensate..
