OK I have a question about the ecu. My friend just bought a 92 240sx and it auto. Well we gonna change it to 5spd and well I heard I don't have to change the ecu. Is this true?

You can make sure and ask a nissan dealership. They had so many ECU models for the 1990 - for the same KA ( some for califonia, canadian models, transmission types etc...) engine it was mind boggling. Perhaps they commonised ECU on the later years. Some reason for a possible different ECU may be sensors for your clutch release or engine accell response when on gear change (ove-revving response) - but some of the dudes here might have already done the swap ... without changing... the ECu may be good enough to compensate..

yeah, you're in kansas so you won't have to worry about the canadian/american shit. just go find an old 5speed 240 at the junk yard but make sure its 91 cause thats the year your car is from
