installing window channel on 91 cherokee

has anyone installed a new window channel (the fuzzy strip where the door window fits in to slide up and down) on a 91 cherokee

Take the door panel off...lower window all the way.
Pull the old one off.
Use spray silicone on the back of the new one and work it in there from the top.
If it is real tough, you might loosen the channel adjustment screw.

Later if it tends to slip down when you use the window....add some glue (3m weatherstrip adhesive). Smail amount front and back will do.
