if you look on ebay you'll find plenty of aluminum y-pipes in colors or chrome w/ brackets and all

what makes these 50-100pieces different from 250-300$ name brand products, its jsut an aluminum pipe and it has brackets so what the hell is difference, it could be quality but there cant be much difference in aluminum pipes

ebay ones are made up of cheap aluminum, the other ones that are around 200 are made of polished steel. There has been supposedly problems with the ebay y-pipes. The two biggest problems being that #1, it gets dented easily, and #2, the end is not flared or beaded so it will blow off the throttle body fairly easy.

you get what you pay for...they blow off all the damn time.

heard some more today, the welds on them are cruddy and some of them even produce boost leaks
