This is my first racebike buildup, so be nice ;)

Started the kit in late May/ early June, and been working on it almost entirely the whole time. Iīve put all other models aside, since this must be finished before a specified date ( LHS competition) `Nuff said, give us pictures!!

Rhe engine is built boxstock, painted Humrols polished alu, and given a wash with black oilpaint.

Itīs late and i donīt feel like posting a lot of "progress"pics, so i give u this, taken earlier tonight. Note the braided oillines to the radiator, and those lovely Sakatsu fittings(?) ,really the only aftermarket stuff used, apart from a few p/e bolts and alike..

Will throw up more pics tomorrow, bed calling.

( changed the size of the pics since they where huge, but now they seem,eh..small. Well, giving u more tomorrow :) ).

Thanks for your time!

pics are dark but it looks very nice. funny enough, as a joke, i just bought my first motorcycle kit ever, a Honda NSR 250 "Noodle Cup". i just thought it was funny that a $1 food product ever sponsored anything  yours certainly looks better then mine ever will!

Itīs been a long hot day here in the south of Sweden, so what do you do? Sit in the cold part of the apartment and build , of course!

As promised yesterday, hereīs some more pics, with lots of detail :) !!

When the saddle was painted, it just didnīt look right in flat black. There was no texture. And then it struck me, the re was some selfadhesive thin black foam that came in the package to my wifes aftermarket cellphone-shell ( u know what i mean), could it add more realism? Some dry-fitting and cutting and..yes! Itīs not 101% accurate for the 8hour Suzuka race, but maybe Mike Baldwin had a sore butt and asked his crewchief if he could fix some x-tra padding?

On a "naked" bike like this, i think cables and wiring is a must. Sure it looks real, bur with some electric wires itīs just that extra kick towards 99,9 % realism? The wires here are NOT connected like the real tihing, heck ,most of them go nowhere! I used Detail Naster red and black detailwire and some of their ignitioncables too. Twisted to look like theyīve canīt swing around. The wiring near the tacho is hard too see, but itīs there!

I dont know what i says. Do you?.. ( note fuelspill. thinned Tamiya Smoke)

AntiDive is a device to prevent the fork diving too much during braking, and the lining was non-existent on the kit, but a look at the boxcover showed something else. made out of 0.4mm copperwire, formed with tweezes.Paint and glue.. http://photobucket.com/albums/y62/Amazon-mannen/rs10004.jpg

Some p/e screws to hold the glass in place. A look at references showed that iīve used too many to hold it. But i donīt cry for that!

References where hard to find , i think. This bike won the 8 hour Suzuka race driven by Mike Baldwin, but pix of Mike was something i could not find. I think it would be interresting to know what he looked like and what heīs up to these times. A person behind the model is something i find important. Any links, anyone? Pics of Mike B.?
