Hello everyone, I'm back with a new project, a late 80s s10. I purchased the body components and interior bucket from AF's own Bob Bauman, so thanks Bob :sunglasse As far as plans go for this, I am deciding as I go for the most part. Originally i was going to build a curbside kit with the stock interior and shaved body, but now i am going to do suicide (reverse opening) doors, motor detail, custom fram, shaving the whole truck including taillights (as originally i wasn't going to) custom console, dash accents and slight modification, slamming it on 20 inch vortexs from hoppin hydros, and custom decal designs I made in photoshop cs. I plan on printing these using the testors decal kit for making waterslides. Now that you read this long paragraph, I'm sure you want to see some pictures. Comments and suggestions are more then welcome.

thanks for all the support guys. i have some plans for a sound system I am kicking around. am thinking or adding a small sub or amp inbetween the seats, and i have started work on my custom door panels, which will each have a sub molded in.
Thanks for the offer Joeham, but i got a huge tube of it lol
Thanks to you guys showing such an interest in this, I got around to sanding down my blazer so i can get it repainted, and im going to be touching up the sound system soon.

got a full day of work done on this today. Got the backwall remade, made some risers for the hinge mounts (not shown), Sanded down the melted platic on the frame and puttied over it, ready for final sand, fine tuned the rear wheel placement, assembled the steering wheel from model car garage (great parts, high quality, and the photoetched parts are easily removed with a knife), made some caddy style taillights (planning on doing a housing for them, finished the front end, awaiting new grill, started on some door panels, smoothed out dash, added some final touches to the seats to get the seat to fit. I also painted teh taillights for my yellow integra project (some of you might remember it) I tested the tamiya clear paints with these taillights, and I must say I am very impressed with the final outcome (pics dont do it justice :() to get back on topic, I designed and fitted a side graphic to further the mini truck look. I think this truck is going to look awsome with these graphics. Well here are the pics enjoy it :sunglasse

I think its one of the best investments i made as far as interior accessories go, easy to assemble, easy to remove from the trees, and they look awsome. You can also remove the flashing from the lil "pins" that connect it to the tree with a knife since its a nickel base metal. It also comes with a page of tips and a how to on using PE parts. Its pretty much fool proof if you read that page first. thanks for all the feedback guys :)

Im going all black on the exterior with the decals that i designed. Interior color scheme will consist of satin black for the interior bucket and door panel, but the dash, console, and some accents on the door panels will be gloss. I am also thinking of doing a design on the dash, like a spider web or something then adding red to it. Only way I can explain is is like blood splattered on it. I am also thinking some red accents on the seats as well. I have also done some suicide hinges for the doors, and am in the process of finishing up the back wall, and finding an alternate way to mount the dash, probably going to connect to the console some how. Doesn't seem like too many people are into trucks too much and thats really too bad :disappoin I know most of the people here like the tuners and what not, but you should also incourage the mini truckers and fullsizers, as there are very few on here. Well thats just my :2cents: Here some new pics, enjoy :sunglasse

Dont wait for me for an opinion, because I wont be trying mine out until I get the truck done, and there is alot left. If you dont mind waiting, Ill be glad to let you know how it works, just gonna have to wait awhile. Best bet would be to search the general modeling forum. thanks for the feedback :sunglasse

Well last night bagged n dragged help me bondo up my door panels and all bodyowrk that needed to be done, and we had to mix up 3 batches, we worked too slow  I decided to clean out all of the spot putty and use a 2 part so nothing shrinks. I used bondo body filler so it wont shrink like the spot putty does. I got one door smoothed out, but i stripped the other one because there wasn't enough bondo to shape it the way I was hoping to. Got the right taillight housing shaped and smoothed. Left one is still in progress. i got the sides of the interior closed off so when the door opens you wont see a big hole, hopefully making it look cleaner. I also modified the hinge a little by adding a peice of tape around the paperclip to have a tighterfit in the tube. By doing this i can have the door off the ground when it is open, which is good :sunglasse After i finsih smoothing out the doors, the wiper cowl, and the other taillight housing i will go over it with spot puttty to remove any pin holes or grooves possibly left from previous sanding. After all of that is done im going to finally start teh front of the frame, as now i have a motor donated to me by kykustoms whos prolly lighting up a bowl :smokin:  Well here are the pics for the few that are following this thread :disappoin
