I have a 95 gs-t. As of recently I just bought an aftermarket intake and installed it no problem. The car ran fine for the first day. After that for about the past two days the turbo has been acting really funny. When I step on the gas the turbo pretty much automatically spools up to full boost adding no power or minimal power whatsoever. I can drive on the freeway doing 80 and where normally I could step on the gas and have the turbo kick in and accelerate me pretty good, the turbo now just pegs out at full boost and doesn't move me any faster than I was before. Anyone have any ideas? I can hear the turbo spinning and everything but I'm not getting crap for boost. Could it be the new intake because everything was working fine before. Also the BOV now sounds different since I installed the aftermarket intake. Is that normal?

My educated guess is that you have a boost leak from your new intake. Swap it back out with the stock one, and see what happens.

Yeah sounds like a boost leak to me as well.

Thing is there is no boost in the intake ;) So unless another pipe was disturbed, it can't be a boost leak. An intake leak in that pipe would cuase a lean condition, but not the symptoms described here. First thing I would do is pull the intake pipe and see if the compressor wheel is damaged.

The BOV sound changing is normal.

What type of intake is this? FIlter? Pipe? Both? Some filters have been known to make the MAS read funny.

I found out what it was. It was the intercooler piping had kinda broke when I pulled out the stock intake. So I just loosened the clamp reseated it and it works like a champ. But thanks for the idea's ;)
