to photograph my models on.. just used some plywood and drywall compund.. sheetrock 90 to make the gravel texture

just gotta do some more painting to it i think...

i dont care how the edges look, i just use to take pictures on.

Great idea! I've also seen people mix black paint, kitty-litter, and woodglue together to make a somewhat-convincing asphalt texture. This seems so much simpler! :biggrin:

Is there any way you can throw a dull coat on that? It's a little shiny...but otherwise looks great!

That's a nice one, James!

Currently I'm using a piece of coarse sandpaper, glued to a piece of cardboard to simulate the tarmac, which I used to take pictures of my models.

Having seen yours, I guess I have to copy your idea. Hope you don't mind.

its not that shiny, that other pic was in bad lighting.. still gonna add some grass and stuff..
