My mom has a 1988 s10 blazer 4x4 4.3L 2door. she said shed sell it to me for $500. the engine and tranny only have 30000 on them but it has some other problems. it has a hole in the top of the gas tank, one of the window motors went out, the door handles are both broke so you have to be really careful opening them, it was stolen so the steering column is busted, it blows hot air onto the floor boards all the time, the A/C doesnt work, and the horn didnt work so the guy that owned it before wired the horn through the rear wiper switch and every since then the dash lights cut out. It needs all 5 tires too. The body looks decent hardly any rust but a little oxidation on the paint. Is it worth all the work it needs?
the main thing im worried about is the electrical and heating issues

I'd also be concerned about the hole in the gas tank!
It all depends on much your willing to put into it. It sounds like a lot of the little issue's can be fixed cheap.
the engine and tranny are worth it in my books.

I'm not too worried about the hole in the gas tank because i already know where i can get one of those fairly cheap. that would be the abslolute first thing id do. I was kinda thinking about it as a project car to learn on but electrical issues frustrate me and im worried if we get the horn fixed and rewired properly that we would still have the dash lights and the radio cutting out. any idea why it blows hot air all the time, even when its turned off? could this be another part of the electrical issue?
thanks for the reply!
