I have a '94 Accord and have had AC problems since I bought it 3 years ago. The AC works fine when it is cool outside, but once it gets hot outside, the AC doesn't blow cold enough to cool off the car. I have checked the refrigerant levels and I have no leaks of coolant. It's getting awfully hot in Georgia!! Any suggestions??

There is a multiude of possible problems not related to amount of freon in the system. Is this a R-12 or R-134 system or did someone change from R-12 to R-134. Possible expansion valve problems. This is the valve that allows the high pressure to become low pressure at the evaparator and makes the evaparator cold. Need guages to see what your high and low pressures are. Heater valve problems could cause hot water into the air conditioning area thus negating the air cooling.

'97 Accord SE :: I'm noticing that mine doesn't cool so well when the temps outside begin rising. This one is better than the '87 Accord but make you wonder. I noticed that there was a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) titled "A/C - Does Not Blow Cold Air" but couldn't see it's contents without subscribing. And wonder if it's something that Honda is fixing upon request.? I'm on the Gulf Coast and summer lasts a long time here.
