My cavalier is not coming to a stop very smoothly, when I start to break it is almost like it is wobbling/jerking back and forth. Sometimes when I brake it makes a strange vibration/groaning sound. Any idea what this may be and if it is expensive to fix?

sounds like your abs sensor is going bad. pop your hood and take out your abs fuses and when stop you wont get jurked back and forth. but when you slam on your brakes your abs wont cut on either it will just fully lock up the tires and slide. i just took my out for the hell of it tho if you know how to use brakes good you can avoid a crash i hate abs anyway

Standard cavalier rotor warp. If you still have your warranty take it in and have the dealer reaplace them if its not you can pick up a set of power slot rotors for like $120 out the door.

I had them replace mine and a month later it was right back to being crap. Working in construction zones I have to do alot of braking and I burn through oem rotors like crazy. Got some power slots and Im still rolling strong.

How much did you spend to have them replaced? If that is the problem, mine were good for 40,000 miles so just getting them replaced seems like the easiest solution?

You were right on the money psycho, it is cavalier rotor warp. They want to charge me an arm and a leg, 360-460 dollars depending on what brand of rotors I want to use.
