I'm tempted to say the ignition switch at the base of the steering column.

You could double check by looking for voltage (12 or better) on the "s" terminal wire (s/b purple) of the starter while someon e turns the key to the start position.

The inflat rest or air bag light, should go off once you start the car, unless something is wrong in that system. It should be unrelated to your starting problems.

If it doesn't turn over at all it could be a problem with the starter solenoid. If it has trouble turning over (the starter motor actually turns over the engine, but doesn't seem to have enough power) and the battery is ok, and it will start with a jump, I'd say there's a good chance your starter is kaput, drawing too much amperage.

If the problem's that it turns over but doesn't fire, you might want to look at the ignition module as morley suggested.
