My boyfriend has a WRX and he found a fuse/switch that could be removed to turn off his DRL's (daytime running lights) and now I want mine off... Does anyone know how to do this?

you can also pull the fuse in the glove box. Just check to see what fuse number it is....unless I am mistaken.

No that's true. But if you pull the fuse, you lose your auto lights.

Thanks for the link, I can turn my driving light off. I am thinking about sellig my car though... for a 2000 gt 3.8 series 11 it should not be having rack and pinion problems. If thats what it is.

On many GM cars, if you attempt to defeat the DRL's, it will cause one headlight to wink out. Make sure all your lights work after pulling that fuse, we don't need to give the authorities a reason to pull us over.

In my 98, the fuse box is on the right side of the glove box. The fuse is the very bottom left one. Don't think there is an actual number but the book shows which fuse is for the DRL's.

ok, i found the fuse that goes to the automatic headlights, only problem is that the a/c display (i have the digital thermostat in my gp) and the gauge above the radio goes out (the one that shows what doors are open etc.) along with it, so im taking it its on the same fuse, so i just left it in, but i did disconnect the DRL wire though.

mine was a little 10 amp fuse I think. Nothing else went with it. I have a 98 GTP. Not sure it it differs from your 98 fuse panel or not.

In my 2001 GTP the DRL fuse is also in the fuse box behind the glove box. When you remove the cover there should be a chart showing which fuse goes to what function. The DRL fuse only affects the DRL's.

Its depends on what you want. With the wire unplugged the DRL will stay off but your auto headlights will still function correctly.
If you leave everything connected properly but pull just the DRL fuse then the DRL lights will be disabled but so will your auto headlights. You'll have to manually turn on or off the headlights.
Either way it looks like you got the end result.
