I have a 99 2WD, 4DR Blazer and bought an intake off Ebay(http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7984464262&category=38634). I tried to install but am a little confused, the air filter doesnt seem to fit very well and can not figure out how it is suppose to mount. Has anyone installed something like this and can give me some guidance?? I would appreciate it.

Isn't there any installation instructions?
Unfortunately not, and the company that sold it said I ought to ask a professional installer for help. I will not be buying from them again.

It came with pipe(one end tappered), 2 rubber peices(one has same diameter on both ends and one has different diameters), 4 hose clamps, and 2 metal mouting peices. Oh yeah and the filter. If you follow the link to ebay in my first message, I got eaxctly what the picture shows. Thanks in advance for trying top help me.

Were you able to install this thing? How does it work? I have contemplated buying one for my 99, but I'm not sure they are the best quality..... :disappoin

No I have not gotten it installed, but really I have not tried since the first time, I would not recommend this model.

I too am thinking about doing this soon. Any thoughts on this model?

Also, I'm wondering if there will be any safeguards I will need to put in place to ensure this doesn't suck any water in to my engine? I don't belive it should given the placement, but I thought I'd ask.

From the for "what it's worth department", I never buy from an Ebay member that has <99+ % positive feedback, especially from a regular seller. This guy has 97% which may sound good until you see that they sell a lot of stuff, most likley a l lot of it import junk. A good seller should never have more than an occasional negative, maybe one out of 2-300. Most good ones will go out of their way to have NONE. Good luck with this thing.
