I don't think i'm alone in saying that Dodge is really getting on my nerves!! I'm soooooooo sick of the same styling on all of their cars!! And to make matters worse, all of their ads have HEMI in them and to tell you the truth, the HEMI isn't really that great. My Acura has a HEMI head on it and i don't go bragging about it. I wish Dodge would change their ads.

Actually those points you state are very deliberate and calculated.
Dodge uses the same styling cues to build a brand identity, so any Dodge is identifiable as such.
Marketers call this 'product differentiation' and it works. If all cars looked the same, most ordinary people would not care too much which one they bought.
Car manufacturers have been doing this for decades. Look at Mercedes....they have had similar grilles and the same hood ornament since the 1930's.
As for "Hemi", Dodge treats this like a brand name, not as an engineering feature. Most Dodge buyers don't know what hemi refers to. They think its the name of the engine.
However, they know that a hemi is desireable and makes the Dodge different from everything else, which is what the marketers want.

I actually like the Dodge ads. The Charger commercials have been very interesting so far. They do a good job of showing the car and what it can do, IMO.

i think its pretty annoying, i think they are overplaying the hemi to much, they have the hemi in just about every vehicle, sooner or later they might end up putting it in the Neon SRT-4 HEMI....j/k

Which makes me wonder, does the SRT-4 use hemispherical piston heads?

even if it did, its still missing 4 cylinders
i like the goofy guy always trying to look at/dream about a hemi, i think its funny. they killed the charger though, i dont like it.

I would love to see them do a commercial with the new SRT-8 Chargers. They could really make that look cool.

I wish they would've made the Charger a two door! They keep using the excuse that the GTO isn't selling so why make a two door? Well the Mustang is selling so much so that they can't keep up with demand, yet GM and Dodge both sit on their asses and leave the market to Ford. Trust me when I say Ford will become complacent, this could be a whole new era for the American automobile yet two of the big three won't open there eyes!

I agree 100 percent. I love the mustang but I don't really have any other options. I know what I look for in a car and a rebadged Chrysler 300 isn't it. I wish Mopar and GM would come up with a competitive pony car in the same market as the mustang. Don't piss on my leg and tell me its raining.

You know, I will agree with you on most of their adverts. I don’t' really care for them either. However, your Acura does not have a Hemi. There is more to the Hemi than just hemispherical heads.
Chrysler needs to get its head screwed on straight though. I don't really like the current line of cars. I am most disappointed with the Charger. The Charger should have been a two with a manual. It should be competing with the GTO and the Mustang. Instead it is competing with the Malibu and the 500. It is simply the new Intrepid and that is just sad.
The Charger should have been something like this. A new take on an old design much like the new Mustang.

I would love it if dodge made that charger. That thing looks great.

Thats what I've been saying about the charger... 2 doors + MT = Charger...not 4 doors and a shifttronic...the Charger name was just used to bring hype to the car, its really not a good remake of the car
as for the ads...name 1 other thing Dodge has going for them that doesnt include a Hemi tm lol its taken on a life of its own

I agree with most of you, about how stupid the new chargers are. but i strongly disagree with who ever sed that the charger should look like that stelth thing. that would have ruind the charger name for good. Yes the new charger should only have had two doors. Heck i strongly say that if dodge wants to use the charger name again, they need to use the old body style with the old name. Like the '68 and the '69. if the car manufactures want to go old school, then go old school all the way. ''if it aint broke, dont fix it''
