idle rpm

my idle rpm is around 600 - is that normal? if not, how do you increase the idle rpm?

my car idles from 750-1000 , mine sometimes stays at 1000 for a few min and will then drop, but to raise it jus tighten the throttle cables, but take it easy on the pedal cuz it will prob make it more touchy

AUTO:
600 - 650 in drive, no lights, no a/c, no accessories on.

5 Speed:
650 - 700 in neutral, no lights, no a/c no accessories on.
