What hand do you drive with?

I drive with my left hand.

I just drive with both since my car's automatic.

I personally drive with both because I'm schumie. But I rarely don't drive with both hands, manual or auto.

Well obviously I have to shift, but when not shifting I got both hands on the wheel.

Right...my left is always resting on the window or the armrest thing.

Usually with my left, with my right either shifting, resting on the shifter, or resting on my crotch. Unless the window is down, then sometimes my left with the elbow out the window, or left hand hanging out the window and right hand on the wheel.

Usually both. However if I'm on a long trip I take turns.

Also curious, WHERE are your hands when you drive? I have my right hand at 3, my left either at 9 or grabbing the post that's at 7:30.

Usually left thumb on the front side of the 7 o-clock spoke, and index finger on the backside of it, left elbow on the door armrest.

usually left hand at 11 o'clock and the right hand on the shifter in my 5 speed van :D

Mine's automatic, but I drive with my left. The right hand is for the girl beside me. You know, my hand on her head...I mean around her! :D

Both. Steering and Shifting...

However, I'm assuming that you probably mean just for steering with... I use my left hand, cuz it's a USDM car, so it's LHD, and I have to use my right to shift with... I figure that's probably a given for just about any Manual tranny vehicle.

It's a manual..:eek: They made about 2000 Astros with manual trannys the year my van was built.

I barely started driving, but my car is a 4-speed manual, so I drive with me left, but with an automatic, with my right.

I always drive with my left. Im just used to it b/c my dad made me drive our 1986 Cavalier for a month. Its a 4-Speed.

Shift with Right hand steer with both (When I'm not shifting) and all the three cars in my household are manual btw :p

I used to drive mostly with both. Then came the manual tranny, so I now drive with my left hand at about 7 and my right hand either shifting, holding the remote to my head unit, or just chilling out.

I switch up; sometimes right and sometimes left.

i drive with me meft, have to shit of course, but when not shiting, it's comfortable to rest the ol left hand at 6 o'clock...btw, i don't rest my right hand on the stick cause it puts unnecessary pressure on the gearbox

well my left is for my cell my right for my soda drink. So i drive like all pros with my knee.;) :D

me,Idrive with both,window is usually down with my elbow poking out[even with the seat pushed right back,it's still too cramped on long journeys].:cool:

It depends what country I am in....

In South Africa and the UK I steer with my right and shift with my left, in the USA I steer with my left and shift with my right.....

I am one of those people that like to actually drive the car, so I have a manual transmission.

Woo woo. It took 10 months but I got some replies. :D :D

I use both hands to drive, hands are placed at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock respectively, and I only do that because I'm an autoX wannabe. :cool:

In lazier situations (say on a straight section of highway at cruising speed), or when shifting, I have the left at 10 to 10:30, and the right either resting on an arm rest or shifting.

I always used to drive with my right hand on the wheel, until I got the Sentra, which is standard.

Now its left hand on the wheel, right hand either on the shifter (or on the arm-rest if im in the Caprice)

The only time that I have ever had both hands on the wheel was during driving tests and driver training. I have a tendancy to over-steer when I have both hands on the wheel. So its left hand at 12 o'clock for me, unless im doing something crazy. :D

My left is about 10 and right is at 3 when I race the stock car.

my lefts at about 1:30 and my right is on my girl or on the stick
