i am an eclipse owner and i just love to hate these honda civics i hate them with passion but also got mad repect for them, i never under estimate any honda. so, anyway i was in my homeboy's gutted out civic hatch back with a fully built h22 swap all motor. If you're from south florida you would know a stretch of road called the us-27, this was where he ripped the sti a new exhaust hole. we were cruising with more than a 100 other imports when an sti pulled up next to us, bov blowing off. i look over and the passenger was pointing at us laughing and talking to driver with the driver making a gesture as to say "waste of time". so we down shift he did the same we were both now at second we both pulled off, with the civic pulling the sti by a car and a half. sti wanted a second run but he instisted that he'll start at 3rd gear and us at 2nd, he said they're equivalent so we started the second run but this time we left him by two cars, to rub salt into the wound we sprayed on him leaving him by at least 3 and a half car lengths. i hate you hondas but mad respect

Hatches, CRXs, and turbodeisel trucks. I stay away from em all, because I want to avoid nasty surprises like that STi got! lol.

the way this story was written makes me wonder if the author even has his licence.

Sounds more like....
omg 100 riced out imports were going down the highway and no cops took notice. we see a sti and pull 2 cars N/A, but only pull one more car length with nitrous.
Okay, so maybe it wasn't an sti, but it was a mid '90s Legacy with a fart can, and maybe the gutted h22 hatch was just a stock sohc hatchback with type r stickers and NOS floormats, but you get the idea we beat a sti mad respect yo
btw getting my license in six months wont own civic will own supra hate civics but mad respect.

>_>?

I own an H22, and let me tell you, a 300HP AWD car will WHOOP IT'S ASS! WTF, do you even have pubes yet. Stop watching the 2fast2furious dvd, and get back to your homework. Do you parents know your playing on the computer!!!

The original post says "fully built h22 all motor in a gutted civic hatch". If it truly is "fully built/all motor" and not B/S...I'd guess a fully built H22 in a gutted hatch will do between 12-13.5 second 1/4 mile (enough to compete with an Sti), and from a roll could walk a stock Sti. Theoretically it's possible - assuming this post isn't bullshit and "homeboy's" car actually exists.

Theoretically, anything with enough money pushed into it will be fast. Any motor that is built and customized to perform via stroking, porting, turboing, etc, etc, with enough skill and time invested, will give its dues, and yes, some will be better than others, but the gist of it is, you got the green, you can make your motor fast....

I've seen a minivan (those first ones, from Dodge) kill a Camaro SS on the track in a video. Its one of the most interesting videos I've seen. Just goes to support that little hypothesis...
