Just something to think about

Well when I was watching the fireworks tonight, sitting there I got to thinking, hey this is great, no one is worrying about anything, everthing just goes away for the short amount of time that everybody stops and looks at the fireworks. For a short amount of time we can just relax in our current state, not have to worry about the troubles you had earlier or are going to have to face later on or tomorrow. It's like the world just stops to look at some lights and nothing else goes on, it was great.
But I wonder what will happen when we stop being a country (USA btw) and were not here or something like that, I dont think there will be something similar to the 4th of July when this happens and everyone stops to look at something bright with different colors.

How much did you drink tonight?
I get what you're saying, but all I can think of after reading that is a two-year-old pointing at the sky saying, "Look at all the pretty colors..." in a dazed voice.

Absolutely nothing. I am a goody-goody, I guess. Everyone I know drinks big time, they all call me for rides and stuff. I don't like to drink, which I guess qualifies me as a big time loser.

There will always be some kind of mass celebration for some reason. Take for example new years, its pretty much the same thing, people sit around and watch big glowing things and some of them explode. It is celebrated world wide (some go by different calenders but for the most part its true) People will always make an excuse to look at bright lights. Kinda like caveman bob did when he first saw fire, we really havent come that far.

I bet you are a goody goody . Designated Nicole? Cool. Big time loser? Not to offend people who drink a lot but, you giving them rides doesn't make you the loser.

i did the exact same thing, but with a Budweiser in my hand, not only is it an American beer, but my grandma was part of the Busch family.
it is so nice, not having a care in the world...the only other thing i can think that might come close to that is Thanksgiving or Christmas, at least for me. Thanksgiving you are with people you care about and have some bomb ass food. Christmas is probably more important. My family raised me to really appreciate my family and friends. I try and remember every birthday in my family and my friends' i'll call them wish them Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas. We have a huge family gathering on Christmas Eve. honestly, it is pure bliss.

Yeah, you know people from "lesser" countries around the world celebrate THEIR freedom too. Why do some Americans act like they're the only nation on earth that had to fight for their freedom?
It's a sad day when any nation ceases to exist *touch wood*, but sorry, your last paragraph just sounds so ignorant and pretentious.
But I wonder what will happen when we stop being a country (USA btw) and were not here or something like that, I dont think there will be something similar to the 4th of July when this happens and everyone stops to look at something bright with different colors
Do you seriously think there is no other country on earth that celebrates an equivalent to the 4th of July?

haha, cinco de mayo is THA SHIIIT!!
now for me history lecture. Cinco de mayo is not actually Mexico's independence day. September 16th is their independence day.
Cinco de Mayo is when a bunch of minute-men-like soldiers and farmers and everyday people fought of a huge ass army.
either way i love celebrating cinco de mayo, corona and tequila, plus salsa dancin with girls, can't get any better
