I noticed in my car the compressor motor is wet however the a/c works but the compressor motor is wet with oil. Any chance it could be a hose and not the motor dieing? new motor is like $300.00

It could be the hoses, or just the dollar o-ring between the hoses and the compressor housing. The best way to find out is to clean off the compressor with brake clean and then run the AC for twenty minutes and see where the oil starts to show up.
