A/C Control Assembly HVAC Climate Control

I have a 96 GM LS with auto climate control.The heat/a/c work fine with the exception of the floor button which stays depressed but will not route air to floor,digital readout will not indicate floor either.The floor/defrost works fine. I have located a complete assembly out of a 2000 Crown Vic that looks identical.Could someone tell me what years are compatable. The buttons are spring loaded but I cannot get floor button to co-opeate.
