Carfax Report interpreting

Thought I'd re-post this in hopes of getting more feedback...Oh, yeah, I forgot to add that I also did an Autocheck, & it said basically the same as Carfax but also that the car had once had a lien on it.

Thanks.

I test-drove a 2000 Accord EX, liked it, & did not find/notice any problems with it (have not yet had a mechanic look at it). The dealer (also sells new cars & seems legit) gave me a clean Carfax Report on it. I am concerned about some excluded info on the report (1-4 below), the first 3 of which have been included on every other Carfax report I, personally, have seen:

1. No vehicle history prior to 9/02 (it's a 2000 vehicle).

2. No date or location data on the "1st" & ONLY owner reported.

3. Not 1 of the 8 types of registrations are reported.

4. The dealer & I are in Michigan, while all the data on it is from Illinois ("title-washing"?).

I got a pretty good price on it & put down a deposit...Any feedback/advice/information would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks, again...

Have you got VIN number?
I have consumerguide vehicle report right now and can run check there... I'll be online for about an hour from now, so if you reply within this time frame - I can get you HTML report into your mailbox ;)
