v70 xc 03 randomly doesn't start; randomly surges?

My V70xc 03 randomly won't start--it's been in the shop 4x in the last month. they've done computer updates and reprogramed the key but the last time it happened I had to have it towed from the airport parking lot. Perhaps unrelated, when it drives the engine surges from time to time with not prompting on the accelerator. Does anyone know anything about these problems? I'm not getting anywhere with the service at the dealership.

[I had the same problem...the dealership had to replace a faulty sensor that caused the car to block it from being able to start.....mine also suddenly has engine revs for no apparent reason...they have no idea why...cannot wait until the end of my lease...too many little problems although I love the ride of the car
