I have a 95 GP 3.1 engine and have been having a fan problem. Here is what I have done. I tested the fans by jumping around the relay and they work. I tested the input into the relay and only see about 2 volts when the eng is running 200+. So I figured it had to be the temperature sensor which I just got through replacing. No luck they still do not turn on. When I got the sensor from the auto store I noticed they also have a temperature switch. So I wonder if I replaced the wrong senor. The one I replaced is by the thermostat cover. Has a standard plug on it. The switch they showed me has a single wire attached to it.
Does anyone know which sensor controls the fan and if it is the other one where is it located on the car.
Thanks

There are two sensors. One for the temp guage and one for the fans. The one for the fans is generally located on the radiator near the radiator cap. If you replace this then the fans should work normally.
