Help!! Cutlass hood won't release

Hope someone can help me...my cutlass won't start & i can't get the hood open from inside or manually outside. The hook isn't even working so not sure what is holding the hood down. I tried to jimmy it open this afternoon & still haven't gotten anywhere...was actually thinking about propping the back edge open far enough to take the bolts off the back hinge! Anyone know where i can find a diagram of the hood release,etc setup or have any ideas? Thanx!!!

Sometimes if you take the grill out you may have better access to the latch. Try to trip the arm the cable attaches to, that should unlock the latch. You may even have to get up behind the bumper from underneath to unlatch it. That should do it unless your latch is frozen, then you can try to remove the bolts any way you can, sneak the cable out of it's retainers and try to raise the hood that way.
