pearl paint

i have a 78 cuttlass and i want my paint to be to either have a black base and dark blue pearl or a white base with a light blue pearl. Now does this mean that the car will be black or white but when the light hits it right it will change to blue. I was thinking about getting it sprayed with a candy black or kandy white base with the blue pearl. would it be better to use the HOK paste pearl or the dupont silk pearl.
