There is a great free weekly car show in North Austin. It is great. We go out there about twice a month. There are a lot of classic cars as well as customized new cars. It has been attracting a large gathering and there are usually some new vehicles there each week. It is just about every Saturday night in North Austin/Cedar Park at the intersection of Parmer Lane & 1431. It's in the Home Depot parking lot.
There are cars, trucks, bikes, everything. It's a family friendly event so it's safe to take the kids. The cars start gathering about 6:30 or 7:00 until after dark. Those times are approximate though. Maybe someone else has more details they would like to add.
Have fun.
