Front end shudder

I have a 2001 4x4 LT Blazer 4.3L yadda yadda yadda. Here's my issue (search revealed nothing useful) when moving at low speeds <10 mph the front end will shudder when the steering wheel is turned either left or right but goes away when the wheel is straightened out. This happens when the truck is in 2 or 4wd. The truck has 67k miles on it. My wife and I bought it last fall and it did it to a lesser degree, but it does have me concerned. I, when the vehicle was moving at low speed, put the transmission in neutral and turned the steering wheel and the shudder was still present. The shudder itself is not particulary violent, it just has me a bit worried as my wife is the one who drives it and I'd hate to have her get stranded. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sounds like the front diff is dry.
Ever checked the fluid level in it?
Also, you transfer case might not be fully disengaging.
Either way, get it check out PRONTO.
