Ok, Just recently had to have a new Cat. Convertor installed to pass emissions testing. Had to replace the pipe from the Cat. to the Muffler, and also replaced the muffler because it was rusted at the inlet connection beyond the point that it could be salvaged.

The Cat. that was installed is the original version for the car and is an Original General Motors part from the dealer.
Unfortunately, General Motors no longer stocks the muffler and tail pipe assembly, so i had to go with another brand. (Walker) This is supposed to be the top of the line OE fit & replacement for my car.(this is what the mechanic recommended)

The problem is that now it is TOO QUIET! It doesn't have that deep throaty performance sound that It had using GM parts. I just cant stand for the camaro being this quiet and want to change it!

What would some of you Camaro Guru's recommend that i get for a muffler that will restore the correct performance sound, without being loud, or cheap sounding ?? also needs to be something that is an OE fit
or extremely close. I want to stay as close to Original as is possible.

well, for something that sounds good, and isnt too loud, i was very pleased with my dynomax system. It was a step above factory in volume and sound quality, but was not something your picky neighbors would complain about. and its not very expensive, i think the catback was 180 bucks.
