93 del sol non-vtec
what all would i have to do in order to put the B16a2 engine in[like motor mounts(would i have to change them out or will the engine bolt straight up) and where would i buy them].
and what would i have to do to put the h22a engine in.
in ur opinion which engine is worth it, and which one is easier/faster to install.
thnx for all of the help

Do you mean the jdm b16a, edm b16a2 or the usdm b16a2 ('99-'00 Si)? Because that would matter for wiring.
But you shouldn't need mounts. You'll need the shiftlinkage from a del sol vtec.
For the H22a, you'd need to buy an aftermarket mount kit, do some wiring, fabricate some axles, upgrade the springs and shocks, cutting or cutting off the transmission side mount bracket (part physically attached to the engine bay; and it'd depend on which mount kit you went with), and cut 2 holes inside the car for the shifter.
If you're planning on doing this yourself, then don't even consider doing the h22a swap. And the b16a swap would be easier and cheaper to do anyways. But both swaps are worth the time and $ (if done correctly).

Then that's the jdm b16a. I've heard some sketchy things about them, as well as from someone I know.

All I know is from what I've seen and also read online. The guy I know got an engine that was incredibly dirty on the inside of it, and he was missing a few parts off the engine as well. From reading forums and such, it seems like it's a semi-common problem with osaka. However, I've also heard of people not having a problem at all with them; so it's kind of hit or miss on getting a good engine from them.
Personally I'd check out www.hmotorsonline.com (http://www.hmotorsonline.com) and www.passwordjdm.com (http://www.passwordjdm.com). But I think that you'll still need to buy the shiftlinkage separate. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure the shiftlinkage that comes with it is ment for a Civic/ Integra and is a different size from the one for the Del Sol.
The engine you want is the B16a, no 2 at the end. You'll want something that says B16a ver2 or Gen2. And yes your car is an OBD1 so you'll want an engine that is also OBD1; '92-'95 (excluding the '92-'93 XSi engine that comes with a cable transmission).

They're included in the swap, but see what condition they're in first. I know passwordjdm says to use the axels as a core and to buy new ones (discount from the core of course). But if they're in good condition, then just use them.

You need the B axles, along with shiftlionkage, ECU and brackets.
Don't buy anything from Osaka, if you do, why don't you just send me your money instead. Do a search on www.honda-tech.com, you'll find a lot of bullshit about them.

You'll need the rear mount bracket (not the mount) from a del sol vtec to integra. Also if you have AC and want to keep it, you'll need the Del Sol vtec AC bracket.
You can use your stock harness, just add the wires for vtec.
www.passwordjdm.com (http://www.passwordjdm.com) will probably be the cheapest place for new axles and LSD. I don't know of any other site that sells (or at least advertises) new or re-manufactured axles; other than password. and their price is $2799 for new axles and $2649 for re-manufactured axles. But you could just go with hmotorsonline for $2550, and get the axles from a place like Napa or any other auto parts store for around $200 minus the core charge.

What I mean by brackets is....a motor mount has two parts. The first, that bolts to the block is a brack, and that bolts to the mount, which bolts to the car. On B series motors the brackets are different than D's, but the mounts are the same. So, you need the B series brackets, and the you can use the D series mounts.

I have found it is easier to come into a Vtec harness rather than to rewire..myself I found a used harness for a Vtec Sol off of www.car-part.com But that is a matter of prefrence naturally and I am a slacker. He is right on the axels however I am always sketched out by other peoples driving and I would hate to install everything and grind a joint or blow a boot a few months later. I would just get a pair of Re-mans from somewhere for a Del Sol (DOHC Vtec only)! But again thats just my opinion on the matter. I might have an extra linkage set-up somewhere..I'll post if I find it but its doubtful.
Oh and PS you can try to search for your linkage on that site aswell, not the greatest but theres alot of places that dont know that they have so you dont have to pay out the ass for something simple..well, sometimes.
