I have a 2000 suburban: The AC compressor went out on it. I replaced it and the new compressor went out 4 days later. Does anybody know what could be causing the compressors to go bad. I don't want to put another one in and have that go bad. I'd like to fix the problem!
Thanks Jude

What happened to the original compressor? Did it fail internally?
If so then there is metal throughout the A/C system and the loose metal destroyed your new compressor.
You will need to flush the entire A/C system and install filters and suction screens to prevent the problem from reoccurring.

Definitely install a new dryer the next time.
