The Oil Pan Gasket Should Be No Problem Dude, You Could Do That Yourself Most Likely. The Water-pump Is A Chore Though. Few Hundred Bucks Sounds Ok If You Can't Do It Yourself, If Parts Are Included In That. Good Luck With Everything, I've Been There B4 As Well. Good Thing Is It'll All Be New Stuff And You Get To Have The New Oil Pan. Not Sure Where U Can Get The Gasket, It Should Just Use The Stock Gasket.......so, Look Around. If You Cant Find One, They Sell "make Your Own Gasket" Kits. You Just Have To Cut It Out. Stock Would Be Best.

our oil pans don't have gaskets. it uses black RTV sealant, basically a liquid gasket. drop your oil pan off (by taking the downpipe off and loosening the endless number of bolts on the pan, oh and make sure to drain oil before this). get a gasket scraper and scrape the remains from the bottom of the block and get the remains off of the pan. re-seal it, stick it back on.

Ok you need to check up on info like this because every 4g63 motor has an oil pan gasket. Please research first before you spread wrong info.
You can get all the parts at NAPA if its easiest. Here are the part numbers for the water pump and oil pan gasket.
Oil pan:
Part # NGA 0S-32008. Shouldn't run you more than around $11.60~ (This is list price, usually you can get it for around $9-$10)
Water pump:
Part # DPW 148-1440. Shouldn't run you more than around $69.90~ (This is the list price, usually you can get it for around $45ish)
The only reason the water pump is harder to change is because the timing belt and all the accesseries need to be pulled off in order to get at it. Since you are already replacing the water pump and have all the timing components off you might want to look into replaceing the timing belt and components too depending on how long it has been since it was done last. (Usually at 60k and 120k miles) Oil pan gasket is easy to change. Its FWD so you dont have to screw around with a transfercase (like on an AWD) to get the pan down. Just unbolt the down pipe, pull it off the hangers and unbolt the pan then your good to go.
I personally wouldnt pay (or charge) more than $300 for labor and parts to change the water pump and replace the oil pump. If he replaces the timing belt and components, then an additional $50-75 could be expected for labor and $234.62 for parts from the dealer.
Here is a list of the parts incase you were wondering and wanted to replace them since your in the area anyways.
'97 7 Bolt Timing Components, Dealer Part # & Price:
Adjuster Timing Belt ==== MD308086 = $58.55
Belt Valve Timing ====== MD326059 = $64.57
Belt Balancer Timing ==== MR984778 = $ 24.67
Pully Timing Belt ====== MD182537 = $23.69
Pully Timing Belt ====== MD156604 = $29.90
Tensioner Balance ====== MD 352473 = $33.24
Good luck and hope the info helped.

say what? i've never seen/heared of an actual gasket for these motors. my first motor, second and the motor i'm running now all had RTV. i'm not saying you're wrong, jake, because i believe you're correct. even my friends motor in his 93 GSX only had RTV. and when i talked to my mechanic a long time ago (actually about 4 months or so ago when i had the motor out) he said just use black RTV sealant when putting the pan back on. so that's what i did and i don't have any leaks/problems with it. sorry if i was 'spreading wrong info' but i was 100% sure that's all it was - was RTV. guess ya learn something new everyday. interesting...
