Has any one ever had a A/C condensor replaced on a new car ( 1800 miles on the car) and the Dealer said well this is not covered under warrenty and is considered a normal wear and tear item. Repair cost $720.00 and I fell that the Dealer should cover the repair at no cost to me.

Why does the condenser need to be replaced? Is there leaks in the coils. Are there rock hits, bad connections. Need more information. Don't just take the dealers word that it is not covered. Have him show you in writing. If you can not resolve this with the dealer, contact the area rep for America Honda.

I have seen the damage and and there was a leak on the vertical line of the condensor. Had to replace it and the dealer coverd the part but not the labor. The regenal service manager did look at it and said the same thing.
How does a part like this just fail when a little rock or something hits and not do more damage to it to cause a leak.
The loaner car has a huge gash in the fins and a large dent in the vertical line but mine only had 2 or 3 fins bent somewhat and causes a pin hole leak.
I feel that the part was faulty or had weak metal.

Hrm, that is definately quite strange, especially when you get a bumper-to-bumper warranty on a car. Which should cover stuff like that happening. I had to have my Cat. Converter replaced at 70k miles, because of these damn new speedbumps they put into my complex, and that was covered, and I had to get my headlamp wiring replaced, which was also covered under warranty. So, I say, bitch at the manager of the dealership, or talk to honda. Because honda WILL replace it, whether it is your fault or not.
