hub probs

I placed a post about a clunking in my steering wheel a few weeks ago, and have so far taken it to goodyear and they recommended replacing the front wheels outer tie rod ends, i replaced both ends, and the clunking still persists. it's a 97 gp gt with 67k miles, the clunking only happens at low speed around 90 degree turns, and again when i turn the wheel back. it's not a cv joint because it just one clunk each time, not multiple clicks. If it is a hub assembly how do i diagnose the problem, if it's possible to do on your own, and if possible what the expense and how to repair it on my own. thanks in advance. i tried submitting a post on this earlier but its not showing up, so if i double post i apologize in advance. thanks.

if its a hub.. you would jack the car up can grab the tire at 9 and 3 o'clock and 12 and 6 and see if the clunk sound shows....

But my guess would be tie rod off the bat... but second cv would be possible.. but i would say check those ball joints.. they can do that noise for ya.. cheap and easy if that is prob.. compared to a cv shaft
