hub assemblies

I still have a slight clunking problem when turning the wheel at very low speeds. It's a 97 gp gt with 67k miles, i took it to goodyear and they recommended outer tie rods on both wheels, my dad and i replaced them and i am still getting the clunking at low turn 90 degree turns. i read that it may be the hub assembly, but i am not sure where that is or what the expense or possibility of replacing it on my own. If anyone could inform me as to what i am looking at i would greatly appreciate it. thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. Have ruled out the ball joint, CV. I'm beginning to think it's the upper left strut mount. Let us know what you come up with. I'm letting it go for now, hopefully it will not cause further problems anytime soon. If it gets worse I'll take it in and have it looked at.

I vote for the strut mounts. When they wear they tend to click or knock. With only 67K miles this seems unusual but depending on what type of roads you drive on it is possible. The hub assemblies are extremely expensive so I would try the struts first.
