Another 5 speed tranny

I've got a 92 metro Conv. that had a tranny that would pop out of 5th gear while running down the road. I just put a tranny from a 91 in it, and now the tranny is hard to shift. Getting into 1st is okay but coming into second, the lever doesn't quite make it, unless you pull hard. Getting out of second, requires hit the shift lever with the butt of your hand. And so on for the other gears. What have I screwed up? Help!!! :banghead:
