Omg how stupid i think we all know the avenger would beat the shi* outta the jetta being the years that they are and the horsepower to weight ratio, yeah given the jetta is a manual wich would give it off the line power but as soon as avenger got going and hit second gear he would be gone and the jetta would be eating his smoke....

yeah i agree a 95 avenger vs an 86 jetta avenger woud eat the jetta alive but the jetta wouldnt do to bad my friend has the 86 jetta and i have the 95 avenger both in descent condition i would eat him for lunch...

Umm yeah...I'm gonna say the avenger. My sister had a 1998 Eagle Talon with the same 2.0 DOHC engine, and although its only a 4-bangger, that had some giddyup even after 110K miles.
