yea, it works... its Y pipe mounted before the cat... lol, flip the switch to normal and your exhaust goes trough the catdown to the muffler and out throught the tail pipe(s) lol, flip the switch to the other way and it just dumps the exhaust out before the the cat... where to get it? i donno :S

basicly its modern day lake pipes. turns your exhaust into open headers.

IF I went with cutouts, they would be $70-75 for the set of 2. Then the cost of having them welded up.
The electric ones are much more expensive.

I personally would rather have a free flowing exhaust that performs as well as cutouts.

I agree, especially for that one day that it malfunctions and opens itself as im passing a cop parked on the side of the road.

the name of my club/shop is called rev extreme and we are based put of tampa fl, we are one of the many shops that help sponsor the f body gathering thats in atlanta, along with hawks 3rd gen, year one, and alot of other clubs. bmr, passport, eddlebrock, and procharger are a few of our sponsors.we get great deals on alot of top end stuff,we have 3 drag cars that are sposored under us, a drag truck and many of us race in the pro stock and some other classes. if your ever in the area u should swing by. and as for "the electric exhaust, its cool to have if your into street raceing big time, your car sounds normal when u pull up on somebody and after they agree to race, for money or whatever u hit the button and reviel that your car is a beast and watch the other guy piss himself then u smoke him. its messed up if u ask me but thats what alot of people i know do.

True, that would blow. I was passing this Dodge Ram that was jacked up and I bet had an electronic device like this but it was going straight headers and while I as passing it the thing was so loud because he thought I was probably trying to race him (in other words he was being an asshole not letting me pass him) and since I had my windows down my freaking ears were hurting, I was like "Slow peice of crap" because I couldnt go any further cause of this car that got infront of me.

I never think im invincible when im in a car because of all the crap i've seen. Ever since I was driving I never had that state of mind. Hey does anyone else have alot of fun when they go sliding around in gravel? Or on wet roads and do it on purpose?

True, there is this gravel area though where 18 wheelers park their loads at and it's just like there and some guy closes/opens the area but NO ONE is ever there so it's kinda like "wtf goes on" but I go there and its a nice not too small area where you can do stuff in, I had alot of fun with my Maro when I did that, cant do it with my Monte because its black and then I would REALLY have to wash my car afterwards.

89IROC&RS
07-02-2005, 09:37 PM
i wouldnt do it just cuz all that gravel would chip the paint, not just make it dirty.

Rally Sport
07-02-2005, 09:39 PM
Yeah that also since it would make it look real bad.

BTW can SOMEONE PLEASE explain this to me?

I dont get how it's owned..

89IROC&RS
07-02-2005, 09:45 PM
i guess if you think the camaro is just a strait line performer, and cant handle windy roads, you could see that windy road as owning the camaro.

Rally Sport
07-02-2005, 09:47 PM
I was thinking the same but I was like "Isnt a z28 for turning and SS for more straight line?" Thanks though

89IROC&RS
07-02-2005, 10:04 PM
well, in the first generation camaros i would say yes, as the generations went on, there was kinda less and less of a difference. back in the first gen camaros the Z28 actually had its own special suspension setup that the other camaros didnt get. nowadays the Z28 is just the RS with a V8 in it, and the SS is the same as a Z28 with cold air induction. but with the fourth gens, even the RS handled better than the old SS did :)

88camaroproject
07-02-2005, 11:07 PM
ummm maybe the camaro is gonna own the windy road cause it kicks ass

flatlander757
07-03-2005, 01:11 PM
if anything the guy holding the camera is getting owned because the camaro is whooping his ass.

Sounds like they got lazy or didnt really care for it much

89IROC&RS

cheaper to make, its alot easier to manufacture the same car with different badges than to actually make the cars different. thats why the camaro and firebird are all but identical, back in the first gen cars the firebirds actually had Pontiac engines, and stuff like that. then someone figured out you could save alot of money by making them the same car, then they were like, well, why make the different models different, make em all the same and it will be cheaper. so pretty much the only difference in the later years was what engine you put in it.

Rally Sport
07-03-2005, 01:49 PM
Sounds like the more into the generations they got into the less they cared about making em unique and we end up with what we got today. The same engine in the same car in its class as long as its under the same head company, GM. Which is pretty messed up because kinda makes it more like choose your body style not your car.

89IROC&RS
07-03-2005, 02:02 PM
why do you think they killed it, people got disgusted and sales dropped, and GM just dosnt seem to understand.

Rally Sport
07-03-2005, 02:11 PM
Man..thats just pretty bad because if you goto the Chevy website you'll see the Malibu, Monte Carlo, and Impala have the same freaking engine and i'm thinking "whats the point of that?" and ofcourse its because its cheaper and saves em alot of money but the way things are right now they're going down and its getting ugly.

it was that dude earl harvy (i believe that was he name) or harvy earl... w/e the hell his name was... when he was incharge of design and development he kept the sub divisions of GM at war with each other... thats why everything was diffrent in sameway... if not lots of ways... lol when he died/quit/got fired w/e happened to him it juist started going down hill....

if this is wrong im sorry, but i do believe that, that info is correct...

Makes sense if you think about it, stuff always changes when guys leave somehow. Anyone know how the Corvette just keeps going through with no worries somehow?

because it has changed its look (not just a new front nose) every few years, and its a top end kick ass car! and as for that owned pic, my rs can handle curves just as good as a vet so damn that, no curves own my baby.
