Hey all i have a question i am in the final stage of getting my turbo together i am now at the point of buying the last couples of parts and they include new injectors. I am looking at getting a set of 450cc injectors probably from a 1st or 2gen eclipse my question is will I need a new fuel rail to go with them? I’ve read that maybe with larger injectors u can drill the stock fuel rail to release some pressure but they recommend a new one all together. Also will I need a new fpr? I am only looking to run 10psi daily and maybe 12 at the track. I do have emanage and a Walbro 255 lph fuel pump.
Thanks for your time

yes, you will need to replace the stock FPR. i would go with a rising rate FPR.

so this should do the trick right?

are you insane? why would you drop $2000 into your engine and then throw an OBX product just to screw everything up. do you know the quality of OBX products. they are crap.
also, there is a difference between a fuel pressure regulator and a rising rate fuel pressure regulator.
most people either get a Malpassi or Begi rising rate fuel pressure regulator.

with that big of injector and the e-manage to edit pulse lengths, i still your stock fpr will be fine. only because you have the walbro though.

ok cool maybe in the future when i do more internal work so i can turn the boost up thats when ill do a new fpr. this blows though because today i went to dry fit all my parts onto the engine and the exhaust mani sticks out to far and pretty much pins the turbo to the radiator fans. i am going to try to see if tearstone will sell me there log style hopefully they will.

the walboro will create more pressure in the fuel lines than the stock fuel pump. this is why he would need to get an aftermarket FPR. if he was staying with the stock fuel pump, then the stock FPR would be ok

If i stuck with stock fuel pump i would probably have delivery issues with the new injectors right?

you will probably max out the fuel pump. you might be able to run the stock fuel pump, but why take that chance.

yeah i'll just do the fpr and walbro but i do remember reading something about people swapping the fuel rails when the do bigge rinjecotrs just wondering what thats all about

the stock fuel rail is fine. you won't have to change that unless you go into really high lbs of boost. the stock fpr is fine with a walbro. i'm using it now for 6 lbs of boost. without the walbro, still using the stock pump, you can go to around 5 lbs of boost with the stock injectors. stock pump with larger injectors will run out of fuel. with the e-manage though you can change the injector pulses so you'll be alright.
eclipsed: even though the walbro creates more pressure in the lines, the stock fpr will still hold the same amount of pressure to the injectors. you'll have more fuel running through the lines, but you'll still keep the pressure. the only time you have to add the 2nd fpr is when the injectors are too large for the amount of fuel/fuel pressure in the lines and you need to build the pressure up more.

i asked the question at club3g but nobody has answered it yet.....why would you need to run 2 FPR? if the stock FPR cant handle it, why not just replace it with an aftermarket?
one guy said that he was running an Aeromo rising rate FPR and still running the stock FPR

because it would take alot of fabrication to make a the fuel pressure regulator mount to the rail and to be as compact as the stock one. when you run 2 it completely nullifies the stock one cause even though the stock one lets the fuel flow through, the new one stops it until it hits a certain pressure
