I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN LOOKING AT REPLACEMENT SYSTEMS FOR THE OPTISPARK UNIT ON MY 94 cAMRO (UNVENTED UNIT) have any of you tried any of the systems using coil packs form an LS1 or a Northstar. Also have any of you replaced your non-vented opti with something that works better. I am on a bit of a budget here so anything i could pull out of a junkyard or off of some other Gm car would be awesome
Thanks,
Brad

is that the whole optispark unit or just a cap and rotor? Also is there any tricks for speeding up the process of changing out the unit?

only way i know to swap an optispark is the right way. involves removing all the spark plug wires, the serpentine belt, the water pump, and then the opti unit.
