Here is a couple (crappy) pics of my ITR in progress. Ive been working on it slowely for about the last month. Finally finishing it up. Ive got to finish up a couple areas of the interior. A few details in the engine bay. Ive got to put the decals on and do a black wash. I was thinking about tinting the windows but if I do that you wouldnt be able to see the grey/skyblue interior as well, and I think the interior looks really good with the silver body. Its my first kit in about 2 years. Im still a little rusty. What do you guys think about it so far?

Well, It was about 2 A.M. when i took thoughs pics. I prommised someone I would take pics a couple days ago so I just took some quick ones. Pluss its not finished so I wasnt really worried about an elaborate background... O and my camera is a 1.3MP Samsung, It dosnt have a very good macro focus on it.
That interior looks VERY good!
Thank you very much, I really like the skyblue/grey combination.
btw. where(what kind of store) did you bought that rubbing compound?
Well as you can see its Called Wizards Finish Cut. Its a mild abbrasive polish for automobiles. Wizards products are the best if you ask me. They also make a Turbo cut polish which is a bit more course, about 1000 grit or so. They make a whole mess of producs, cleaners, protectants, waxes replacements, metal polishes. Any decent auto store should have it. http://www.wizardsproducts.com

If it has a good zoom you can just stand farther away and zoom in on it. Try changing the FSTOP settings (the bigger the better) too and using a tripod.
For the compound, what kind of cloth do you use?

The paint looks really smooth! What paint did you use? and you think Wizards works better than Tamiya compound?

I just used Duplicolor Silver/chrome. I didnt bother putting a clear coat on it cus it came out really smooth and shinny withough it. I still havent even put a coat of wax on yet for the super shine.
I havent had experience with Tamiya compund, just wizards and some cheap stuff I bought at walmart once, dont remember the brand. But once I tried Wizards I was hooked. I needed to buy some for my Real car, and heard wizards was best so I bought it, DAMN!!!! good stuff, so I tried it on my kit, looks good.

I have some Turtle Wax Polishing Compound, I tried using an old woven t-shirt and have not had good success yet. Some Tamiya compound is coming with my HLJ order...if your Wizards works as well as you say it does, I may have to get that, expensive as it may be
For the fstop, the bigger the fstop is the more of the picture you will have in focus. But the hitch is the bigger the fstop is the more the shutter will be open, so you better use a tripod so you wont blur the picture. Set the camera on manual and look at the instruction booklet to see how to change the fstop. The higher the number the better, mine only goes up to f8.0 but on a SLR it can go up to f22.

Thats looking really nice and i love the interior too! I think u have done a great job with the colour combo and it works well and suits the whole tuning theme, ive seen many revel ITR's that just look really naff but yours is probably one of the best!
My only 'niggle' with it, is that the black lines on the seats are a bit too thick! But im just being picky;)

Yea, I would have to agree with you about the lines. I contemplated not doing them at all, but after doing one of the seats I thought it looked much better than without. It still upsets me how thick they are. And I have to do the black lines on the rear seats over again. After looking at my pictures I noticed how sloppy they really are. I also noticed a chip in the blue pant at the top of the rear passenger seat, Damn. O well easy fixes. Thank you very much for the compliments buy the way.

The f-stop is the size of the aperature opening. Most 35mm SLR's have fstop ranges 2.8-22. If you are looking for complete focus and a very long depth of field, use a higher fstop number, which consequently makes the aperature smaller. This is what causes the exposure times to be longer. If you want a shallow depth of field (i.e. headlights in focus while the rearend is out of focus in a 3/4 shot) use a lower fstop number, which is a larger aperature size, allowing for faster exposures. Hope this helped! If anybody has more questions regarding photography, PM me!

Protek, I did a bit of searching on MySimon (http://www.mysimon.com) and found a few cams that you would be well off buying. You might want to surf around MySimon and if you are up to it, spending and extra 50-75 dollars could make a huge difference in camera quality
SiPix SC2100 (http://www.us.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10277798) This camera offers an amazing 2.1 megapixels for less than 190.00. The only problem is I have never heard of SiPix.
Canon Powershot A10 (http://www.mpsuperstore.com/digital/indexMy.htm?discr5556.htm) This camera does everything you need it to do, but only supplies 1.3 megapixels. This could result in some grainy pictures, but at less than 170.00, the price is hard to beat with the Canon name behind it.
Good luck, and if you need any more help, hit me up.

I recently got a second ITR and I hope this one comes out better than the first. After seeing the great models here I would like to build anything as nice as the people here do. I am painting mine Testors Sapphire Blue Metal Flake with a cobalt blue and gloss white interior.
