ABS light is on constantly...

My ABS light came on today. I was told by a friend who is an Acura tech that this means an ABS sensor is bad so my ABS is now disabled.
That news made me happy. I hate ABS.
My Question is: How can I disable the dash light?

Nope, just called my friend at the Acura dealership. The brakes make no noise, and they are fully functional, just no peddle pulsing annoyances.
I really dislike ABS. I made the compromise because GSR's don't come without it, but now that the ABS has failed I am truely happy to be rid of it. Now I want the idiot light disabled, and I would rather not pay a tech to get that done.

Does anyone have a link to directions for removing the dash panel so I can remove the offending bulb?

if the 94 is like my 98, all you should have to do is take those 2 screws out from the top of the bezel assembly and the pull the top towards you and then pull up and out. get a helms, it has great instructions and drawings for doing these types of removals.

You could probably do one of two things.

*Remove you ABS controller -- it is underneath the right rear quarterpanel trim (in trunk).
*There is a blue/red wire that goes from the ABS controller to the ABS indicator circuit in the guage cluster. Could remove this wire or remove the ABS indicator.

I dont know how safe it is do completely diable your ABS system considering you still have you pump and valving assembly that fluid passes through. I think your safest bet, if you want to get rid of ABS, would be to get rid of ALL ABS parts. Including pump/valving, pulsers and sensors and replumb through distributing blocks and proportioning valves.

ABS problem seems to be resolved. For some reason the light has not been coming on, and I can hear the system boot up after start up.
I will be having my Tech friend run diagnostics on the system, I have a warrenty which covers all the equipment so I have decided it is best just to maintain ABS, even though I prefer not to have it.
I agree that the best alternative to get rid of ABS would be to replace the entire brake system, but my budget will not allow that.

Oh well, back to the pedal pulsing madness...

did you recently get an electronical aftermarket part?

The failure seemed to coincide with the failure of my fuel deivery master harness, but I cant see how the two could be related, unless I josteled the ABS harness when installing my new fuel harness. Regardless, the light is off now, and ABS is working perfectly.
