A small 16g can do 300whp. Any GT35 variant is made for over 600. You can stroke a motor with no mods, if you want. The main point is that people stroke so they can spool their huge turbos. For you to build a 2.3/2.4 GT35 race car will cost thousands and thousands of dollars.

No. I've heard that you can handle 400 hp on stock internals, but 350 is a little more sensible. If thats not enough, then you can just replace the internals with keeping the stock bore. From there I dont know how much hp you can make, but I bet its quite a lot. I would only stroke it if needs attention... if it has lots of miles and the cylinders are worn.

Nobody strokes without building the motor.. and your goals don't require a built motor. No, I wouldn't think about doing it.

I would look at a turbo that is capable of 400-500 whp, like a 6H 20g or some 50 trim variant, or a fancy bb turbo in this size range if you like, and run that for a while. If you find you still need more power, you can go to the 35r on the 2 liter, with more experience with large turbos under your belt. IF the ~4400-4500 rpm boost threshold is too high, THEN look into a stroked/built motor to drop it down to 3700 or so. That would be my course of action. Unless of course you have shitloads of disposable income and you can just do it all now. But this is what I would do, for a normal person. :)
