facts to haters

haters are always dissin on what they do not know. Appearently the tiburon is just another these ppl do not know. Sure its not the fastest car in the world but its not the slowest. after reading ppl in these forums trying to compare the tib to camaros, nsxs, corvettes, and even skylines i can't help but to laugh. They are constantly saying that hyundai has yet to build an engine worthy enough for them. How honda's vtec is so special. Honda's vtec is nothing but a computer controlling the valve timing because stupid ppl couldn't figure out when to shift. To make this quik and factful then here is some knowledge to comprehend. There is a tiburon that costs around 20gs plus and additional 12gs is actually stomping on porches, corvettes, camaros, nsxs, and even some ferraris. post times qaurters mile in the 10's and 0-60 in right at 4 flat. so 32gs and this hyundai is a supercar, so stop doubting and hating till you know the potential of a car.

Umm sure ok. Who pissed in your Cheerios today? I mean i like my car and all but I don't go claiming anything having to do with beating 'Vettes, Vipers, Porsches, or anything that has the capability to put out 5 or 600whp...besides, I like the negative attention, it makes people wanna cry when their bright shiny new whatever it is gets beat by a Hyundai....

I Tiburon comparing to a Porsche and Skyline. Well it really doesnt. Porsche is an exotic car. Not to mention its all about hp to weight ratio..not just hp.

Okay folks, we already have a official goof off thread, lets not make two of them. Lets keep the threads on topic. (if possible).

As for the topic on hand, yeah, I somewhat agree that it bothers me to see all these Hyundai haters bad mouth our cars. But you know what, its usually an uninformed poster that just doesn't know the facts and isn't a true automotive enthusiasts. There will always be another car better than yours, whether it be speed, fuel, looks, etc. We bought our vehicle for whatever reason we may had. and although Hyundai did have a bad rap a few years ago (through no fault of its own, but rather, parts aquired from other makes) it is finally producing outstanding vehicles that is making other take notice and nervous. So we continue to take their bad mouthing of our cars but we are smiling cause it makes them look ignorant. Plus they are mostly envyious. We bought a vehicle that offer way more better value than theirs at a much lower price and warranty to boot.

Let them continuing hating, we will continue smiling and laughing at their ignorance.

i agree, i used to get people like "hey sick car what is it" then id tell them its a hyundai and they would laugh, but i noticed most of theese people drove the all too popular amung ricers civic....so i laughed to myself took a look at the tib and smiled at how much nicer it is......

Hey tib owners,...Just so you know, I'm not a "hater". I own a Hyundai myself. But I'd like to pose a question to all you Tiburon drivers:

I was checking out Consumer Reports and I noticed the Tiburon got a bad review in the "reliable" catagory. This made me curious since my 98 Sonata 3.O V-6 is as mechanically solid as they come. I'm considering possibly buying a Tiburon in the future, so some "honest" personal evaluations would be appreciated. I know you like your rides, but be unbiased. Give me your own "consumer report".

my borther was looking at comsumer reports and told me the same thing he said it was just the 03's and all i could come up with was the clutch issue. nothing has gone wrong with mine yet i have an 03 with about 16k on it

45k + on my car, nothing wrong with it. Worn interior a little bit. A scratch around the wheels here and there, but other than that, its 5 years old, nothing bad about it :)

Consumer Reports gets paid for what they do. The bigger the payment, the more favorable the report. I don't and would never go by what CS says. I know what I know. And I know my Tib is strong and reliable.

I think somebody needs a hug. 0-60 in 4flat? pfft no way..cant do a 1/4 mile in 10 sec. Not unless you put like $40k in it. There is potential in a tib, but lets be realistic here.

Honostly...my Tib has 85k miles on it and only had 1 problem- C.V. boot came half way off and strip my 02 sensor wiring harness. Thats all
