HID Lights

Hey All,

I recently bought Hyper HID Xenon headlights for my 99 Maxima. I install them but they wouldn't go on? :( They would only go on if I put it on High Beam? I would appreciate it if anybody can help me out. Thanx :)


PS. I'm also thinking of get a game console. What do you think of the GameCube?

Harness might be fried...

If it only comes on when you turn on your high beams then it is probably wired incorrectly. it should be wired to your low beams.
With HID kits you lose your high beam so it shouldn't be active. Check your wiring and make sure that it is correct.

Hold on, HOLD ON! Did you get just the bulbs, or the HID conversion kit? Cause if you got the kit, then what climaxima said would definitely be what I'd check. But if you got just the bulbs, then maybe (just maybe...) the filament in the bulb is bad. Are your old bulbs working ok if you put them back in? If so, then look closely at the bulbs themselves. Don't 4th Gen's use a dual-filament bulb?

Oh, and as a sidebar, I agree with climaxima again.... get the Xbox!!!:D

:) I figured it out. The bulbs contacts weren't making good contact in the socket. So I just squeezed the contact holders in the socket to be closer together. Then plug in the bulbs after that it worked. Thanks for all your advice. I bought the GameCube, its pretty good. One more thing does anybody know where to get the black chrome altezza tail lights?

I know that Greg has them. I don't know if they are the cheapest deal.
