dash/heater core

does the dash in a 1999 escort have to be removed to change the heater core? thank you

forget it wasnt heater core ? just posted under wet carpet passenger side

FYI You do not want to change the heater core. It is a major job. $800 plus parts at Ford. I know your's isn't leaking but remember you don't want to got there! If I had to do it over I'd buy an after market electric heater. The entire dash comes out with everything else. It gets stripped clear to the firewall. I hate to even think about it :crying:
