Hey you guys well I am new to the forms so I got a relay quick question ok well I have a 95 mitcubuse eclipse gs ok well I had an issue with the water pump and it seized up and started overheating my car so I took it to a nother bad mechanic well he replaced the water pump and my timing belt. came back to pick it up and the angina was shaking and idling did no know what it was well her are the symptoms now the car can NOT reve up to 7 thousand rpm it goes to 5 thousand and it sounds like it is like on 7 I could reve it up to 7 but I think I could damage the engine which leads me to believe that one of the cylinder was not firing replace all spark plugs and spark wires and still it sound like it is running on 3 cylinders and it still shakes could this be caused by the machining not setting the timing belt right or a bad sencer any info would be great.

The ECU would throw a code for misfire. Read your codes and do the normal diagnostics... check for spark, injector pulse, compression, etc..

u need to learn how to spel and write sentancs that actually make sense because if like you dont than like no one can really undrstnd u and that is jst isnt cool because evry 1 gets pissed off and howe is tht questAN a rally quick questian huh casue its like so dam long and unreadable...
ANYWAY, as for your question...let me get this straight. why would you want to sit there and rev the motor to 7grand?
"now the car can NOT reve up to 7 thousand rpm it goes to 5 thousand and it sounds like it is like on 7 I could reve it up to 7 but I think I could damage the engine"
i'm sorry but that just makes no fucking sense. you say it will NOT rev to 7grand, only to 5grand. but it SOUNDS like it's 7grand, and you COULD rev to 7grand but you don't want to damage your motor. WTF!? :screwy: that sentence is a nightmare. from what i know, if the timing was a bit off the motor could run shitty. check to make sure you're getting spark out of all 4 wires. easy way to do it is start the motor, pull out each wire one by one and TOUCH it. if you get shocked 4 times then you have spark and then i can laugh at you. as for the plugs, make sure they are all properly gapped. make sure your wires aren't falling apart too. if none of that works, take the plugs out. see if any have oil all over them. let's say one does. that would cause a misfire because the plug isn't sparking. this could mean a bad valve cover gasket, or even worse, a fried piston ring. and if all that checks to be normal, take your 3 cylinder gs back to your whack mech and have him fix the problem so he can make it run on all 4 again :) of course, IF it is in fact misfiring...it's probably running like this from you revving it to 7grand constantly. would would anyone just rev the motor to 7k every now and then to see if it "sounds right"? ahh this thread gave me a headache. now, for the time it took me to read this and reply i want you to send me some tylenol and $5 so i can get some taco bell.

^^^LMFAO
I kind of expected someone who didn't look like they graduated from middle school by them not spelling "engine" correctly on the title. Was worse than I thought after I read that paragraph, if you call it that, of complete garbage.
This ones easy. Your cars a piece of shit man. Stop reving the shit out of it and pretending you are on fast and the furious everytime you come to a light, and it wont shit out on you.

Sorry, but the irony here is hilarious.
Hopefully the timing belt being a but off didn't cause any problems. The 'head room' available isn't much on these motors.
