Is it me or is everyone

else's computer run slow as hell once the get to AF? I know my computer ain't running no 8 second quarters, but damn... I get in here and it's like i went from my Maro to a freaking Greyhound bus.

mine runs fast while on AF but I have a cable modem, although depending on what time of day due to traffic, the af server may be slowed down due to the demand.

I'm on a cable modem also... but sometimes when I post a reply or try to open a thread it'll take like (not exaggerating) over a minute to go to the post after I've hit submit, or to open a thread. About half the time it's this slow. I must have a gaggle of spyware on my machine, you think?

Same thing here earlsfat, but I constantly check for spyware and NONE. I got DSL btw but that goes pretty fast when I download stuff (Like photoshop :sly: ) so who knows whats up.

I have the same problem most of the time. I have a t3 connection and firefox speed hacked. It only happens sometimes and when I use "quick reply."

It is my altitude, I swear. :lol:

its not constant. just every once and a while it will stall for no apparent reason ....annoying when it does

I have a spyware program that I run pretty often but that doesn't seem to do much... who knows? Maybe this stupid computer needs a Red Death 6500 RPM burnout.

yea i got the same problems man, and i have gotten that af is down try back 5 mins later, so i went and did something else... came back like 30 mins later and it was running fine (it seems to happen alot for me tho, like if i make more then 4 posts i guess... its starts going reall slow. im thinking the comp is just tired of loading the same page over and over again) :S

OH YEAH???? You know that thread that was reopened about the idiot selling his honda???? Well I got 32 copies of a response from 88camaroperson. No bullshit 32 copies. I think the AF server has delevoped a bad case of epilepsy or something. This happens all the time, where I get multiple copies of reponses, but usually it's just one or two, not 32.

Well, cooli, atleast I wasn't the only one. I shut all my notification settings off, then set up my spam blocker to block all mail AF. All I could do. Otherwise I'd be getting phone call for hoggin up the e-mail bandwith. no thanks. So now I'm just slow to respond because I have to try and keep track of who replied to what thread and when.

Oh, and try to get some "work"" done. 'bout as degenrated as link I guess.

What happens, I think is that AF automaticly like subscribes to a thread that you have posted before or something.
