alright, I thought this started when making left hand corners only, but now it's grinding every time I shift from redline. I know it's not me, because I get it into gear and hold it, but it still wont hook up. it has also poped out of gear?!?! my driveway it angled perfect to the road to come into going roughly 40 and I came into in second and right when I started turning in, it came out of gear and was grinding.
think this may be a linkage problem? I have never been told about this problem, my car is a 2003 so it's fairly new also.
any help would be great, especialy if you had the same problem

if no one knows, could someone tell me a good lancer forum that I could get some help on? I really want to know, it has gotten worse. Now when I put it in reverse it will try to grind, but I have to push in the clutch again, put it in neutral and put it back into gear again, then it acts like it's trying to come back out
please help

very common problem w/ no solutions. Mine does this as well from what I have heard ppl have had sychros replaced and everything but are still getting the grind. My suggestion is to shift before redline. Also try changin tranny fluid to redline, royal purple, sychro mesh, one of the top of the line fluids some ppl have had success doing this.

ah thanks man, yeah it have been dealing with it. What I found is that if I use a silicone based lubricant on the shift linkage bushings, it makes going into gear a lot easier. Since it started I have changed the trans fluid, and out a curiousity I even ran the oil over a magnet to see if there was any metal in it. Well I was happy there wasn't any. Although I did use royal purple in the trans, and I havn't had the problem, although I also havn't been running the car as hard. Thanks again
