That car should be restored and fixed of its problems, with a newer 6 and it can be there as an extra car to use for whenever your car is in a fix or something.

It'd be cool dude, or you can transition it to be YOUR car, it would be better because you could put 4th gen stuff into the 3rd gen like your seats/seatbelts, other crap too. A 3.8 is exactly what im trying to do to mine as of now, because im looking to bore over a 3.4

shit man, if you wanna put a sixer in it, do the 4.3L swap, you can get the power of a 350 with the gas mileage of a sixer, and it also will give you a better weight balance by sitting farther back on the frame. worth looking into.

That actually sounds like the best idea, i'll look into it 89 but what will I have to change out? Other than the engine of course but tranny, or fuel pump and stuff like that?

actually, you wont have to change the tranny if it originally came with a 305. and ill have to check the article, but there is a company that sells the nessesary brackets to put a 4.3L in place of a small block. Other than that, youll need to use the computer from the 4.3L doner car. and a few other goodies. nothing too serious. Ill also post the info on the 4.3L chevy high performance did up.

Thought the 700R4 came in all 83 or 84+ Maros.

If you buy a 3rd Gen Kasey, I know a guy who has a couple LT1 that need a good home :naughty: (in exchange for a small pile of money)

and a LT1 bolts right up to a 700r4.

Got mine for 400 because they thought the rings were blown. All it was was a cracked dist. reference wire so there was running base timing and way out at that.

Said in previous post, owner thought the rings were no good in the motor, loooked like a mosquito fogger coming down the road. So they basically thought the motor was trash.

oh and being close to earl wouldnt be a problem, im a dog person to a scary degree, i used to work with abused dogs at a shelter, and only met one dog that needed a good whupen. come to think of it it was a rott, but it was a mean one, owners beat it, and trained it to be aggressive, it got out of the fence and came after me and my friend, he ran, i beat the hell out of it. then gave it a doggie treat the next day :)
